Brighton Web Awards

I've hauled this post up the top, where it can stay a while, because the shortlist for the Brighton and Hove Web Awards has been announced, and Assistant Blog is represented in the Personal / Blog catagory. And all of a sudden my latent competetive streak (dormant for 27 years) has emerged and I want to win! If you've time to vote for the blog, it would be much appreciated. Go here to vote. Apologies if you're reading this for the millionth time; posts are continuing as normal below...

You do realise you're up against Chris Eubank don't you? You're like the Brighton-blogging Amir Khan, or something.

Indeed. Although I like to think that I combine Amir Khan's spry athleticism with my own peculiar brand of hatred of confrontation and terror of physical violence. It's a potent mix.

That's hardly fair, as Eubank would have been (thinks) 3 weights above Amir Khan. Probably would have knocked him out with one punch and then been booed off.
Just voted BTW.

Ah, well thank you for your rather grim prognosis, Andrew! Let's hope it doesn't translate over to these here web awards. One punch, eh? :-(

Hope you win!

I hope you win too. As you have the best written blog in town. Even though Radio 4 are clearly terrible and often overated. Well done with the liberal lifting from newspapers recently.

Found your site by accident, linked to some bloke called Dirk from America. Bit of bollox the voting, I only wanted to vote for you because your blog told me to, but I had to vote in all five! Pride was simple, the others, well random, didn't bother looking at fuck all!
But you do know you'll love to Chris Eubanks...he a south east London boy from East Dulwich!

I understood every word of that, and that Freudian slip is just to die for!

Ah, Eubank didn't stand a chance :-) Just found out that I won, making me official winner of best website in the world ever 2004, or something like that...

Thanks for voting for me, anyone who did...
