Yep, absolutely. And I think it would make a big difference. I remember when I used to have to get back to Barnet after visiting you and Vic in New Cross; having to walk down to the bottom of the road, wait in the rain for a bus to Oval and then try to catch the last tube up to North London. It was crap. Much better to have a nearby, dry and pleasingly shiny tube station. Not that catching the bus or the train in London isn't sometimes a pleasure; it just isn't always a pleasure...

Yes, that's true, it's always been a bugger getting to Muswell Hill. On the other hand, I always used to get the bus there when I was a kid and it lent the area a certain charm; I always felt like I was travelling out of London when I was going there, not in. As if the tube wasn't somehow good enough for Muswell Hill :-)
