Despite feeling reasonably confident about today's US election, I feel, at the same time, horribly nervous today; or perhaps impatient is a better description. Does anyone know what time the results are expected to come through? There's a part of me that wants to do an all-nighter, but instead I think I'll just go to bed early, so that I wake tomorrow the sooner, and know.

I read somewhere that the final result comes in about 5am. I know what you mean about feeling nervous, I've had butterflies about it all day!
Yep, it's funny isn't it.
I'm starting to actually feel quite worried now, too - just the all-pervading confidence surrounding Obama is giving me the jitters; there's nothing like a perceived foregone conclusion for creating an upset.
As much as I hope Obama wins a little part of me hopes he fails - just because he's spent more money on marketing than McDonalds and WalMart combined.
