indie revival-a-rama

The first band I ever saw live, The House of Love, have just announced that they are re-forming. Great stuff - looks like we're on for a full scale late eighties indie-pop revival in 2005. Who's next? Cocteau Twins? Jesus and Mary Chain? Sugarcubes?

I saw Guy Chadwick play a solo show in Brighton in 98 and it was pretty ropey. Will be good to hear Terry Bickers playing again. Pop trivia - anyone remember a band called Belltower that he was in? They did a rather fine tune called 'Outshine the Sun' as I recall.

Belltower! I've been looking for 'Lost in Hollow' for years. As for the Cocteau Twins, I dare to dream...

In contrast to Powerful Pierre, I really enjoyed a solo gig Guy did the same year in Wolverhampton, and thought his solo LP of the time was much under-rated.

But if Rollo packs in those irritating Faithless records and reforms The Woodentops I'll be well happy. Have faith...'it will come'.
