Now I don't live in Brighton, will generally make the effort to do the Open Houses at the very least. My point? All that stuff is wasted on the residents, apart from giving them a feeling of cultural well being on their commute to London. The Festival is for tourists like me ;-)

Anyway, good blog. Keep it up.Timfhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06155679765771635239noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3963192.post-39645268189016616642009-06-10T08:58:57.782+01:002009-06-10T08:58:57.782+01:00Hi Jonathan

Its always lovely to see my name in (blog) lights and be appreciated :)

thanks again

lou xAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3963192.post-66311156985568125462009-06-04T11:59:15.064+01:002009-06-04T11:59:15.064+01:001. The day I went, they were doing a creepy crawlies demo for the kids and had live snakes you could handle - ugh! Much more like it.

2. Let's face it, Brighton is cool full stop. No need to apologise for it. I agree - post more please, always interesting to see (ideally in advance) what has caught your attention.

3. Some persuasion about the merits of Beachdown please - £95 to see Grace Jones isn't doing it for me.Jo Gnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3963192.post-50317757181558539542009-06-02T11:25:03.977+01:002009-06-02T11:25:03.977+01:00I shall try to post more! Spotting him in the street counts as a cultural event in and of itself.

I've never been on the Ghost tour either; would like to. I've done the Station tour (don't bother) and the Sewer tour (interesting but smelly). I went in the Pavilion when I was about twelve, on a day trip to Brighton, but have never managed to go back. Hmm.

Sad all the things that are on one's doorstep that one never sees.

Actually my number one gripe is that I've never been to the Booth museum. Really want to go but never done it.Jonathanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04267191412203443333noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3963192.post-8146841409872015292009-06-01T20:28:08.004+01:002009-06-01T20:28:08.004+01:00Yes, stop being so rubbish - you hardly ever post ...Yes, stop being so rubbish - you hardly ever post but when you do, your posts are really enjoyable. Do it more!

I'm similar in that I kinda forget about the festival (except when I accidently blunder into the childrens parade) I did see a coupla things; melvin Bragg being one of them - well a friend had a ticket & I went for free but it does count! I even had a look at the sky mirror (from a distance cos you're not allowed to get near it)

I've always wanted to go on a ghost tour; been here 14 years & never been in the Pavilion or on a ghost tour - now that's poor. Oh, & I've always wanted a dog too.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
