indie revival gathers pace

OK, I'm getting sick of bands reforming now. Soon enough it'll be impossible to go to a major venue or a festival without seeing another bloody revival band; so we can now count not just on The Pixies, The Wedding Present, Gang of Four, The House of Love, The Happy Mondays and The bleeding Farm but also the Cocteau Twins, who have just announced that they are reforming for Coachella 2005. Ho hum.

think they're cashing in on Bez to some extent; they're playing a gruesome sounding 'Madchester' event with the Farm and Clint Boon from the Inspiral Carpets. Not sure where, probably Brixon Academy or something. Given the nightmarish horror that was their version of 'The Boys Are Back In Town' last time they re-formed, I suppose we have to hope this one off is as much as they do. As for The Farm...

No, not heard anything about a James reunion; probably because it's not so very long since they were still together. Tim Booth did do an album last year that was diverting in places, but a bit hippy-dippy for my liking. I gather he concentrates on teaching dancing these days!

I can't believe The Cocteau Twins have reformed. I 4ucking love The Cocteaus but I can't believe they've reformed - I remember them getting really pissed off when the Sex Pistols got back together. A bit hypocritical but that's musicians for you.

No, James have had loads of members too. In fact, according to this, they're still a going concern, albeit without Tim. Not heard much evidence of it, however.
